A Housing Benefit for Ontario
ONPHA has joined a coalition of organizations to promote a housing benefit as part of the Province's Poverty reduction Strategy. Under the proposal, all eligible Ontarian's would receive an income-tested housing benefit to assist them in meeting their high shelter cost needs. ONPHA sees this as being one part of a range of solutions which includes building new affordable housing as well as fixing the existing stock. Read the following:
