Kathleen Blinkhorn Aboriginal Student Scholarship

ONPHA’s Kathleen Blinkhorn Aboriginal Student Scholarship supports Aboriginal students living in non-profit housing in Ontario. Each scholarship winner receives $1,000 for use towards their post-secondary education costs, like tuition, books, technology and transportation. In 2018, with the generous support of Union Gas, ONPHA is excited to be able to offer this scholarship to 10 Aboriginal students.

About the scholarship

In December 2009, the social housing sector lost a dedicated colleague and tireless advocate in Kathleen Blinkhorn.

To celebrate her memory, ONPHA, with the support of Kathleen's family, developed the Kathleen Blinkhorn Aboriginal Student Scholarship to commemorate her work developing Aboriginal housing programs and working with Aboriginal communities.
