ONPHA'S MEMBERS
ONPHA's over 760 members own and manage more than 150,000 non-profit
housing units across Ontario. There are ONPHA members in each of the 47
municipal Service Manager areas established to administer social
housing. ONPHA members provide housing for approximately 350,000 people
in over 200 communities in Ontario.
ONPHA represents non-profits:
- Of every size: with members ranging from 4 units to
non-profits with 1,000 units or more. Most members -- 77 % of ONPHA's
membership -- have fewer than 100 units
- Of every sector: ONPHA represents members now funded and
administered by municipal service managers as well as those administered
by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and the Provincial
Ministries of Health and Long Term Care and Community, Family and
Children's Services
- Meeting every need: ONPHA's members house families, seniors,
people who have been de-institutionalized, people who have physical
disabilities, been chronically homeless or fled abuse
