After 20 years without significant investment, the federal government has released a new National Housing Strategy that aims to develop and repair up to 400,000 affordable rental units, preserve and expand the community housing sector, and pull 530,000 Canadian households out of core housing need. Join ONPHA’s Deputy Executive Director Margie Carlson for a review of the strategy and what it could mean for Ontario’s housing providers and ONPHA’s members, including:
- A review of the major initiatives included in the National Housing Strategy
- A breakdown of the $40-billion investment and what it could look like in Ontario
- An overview and discussion of federal initiatives currently under development
